They are coming, I hear them….
The sound of dog sled teams racing by and voices with the sound of mush in the air. It’s always very exciting! Here at The Prospector, we love the fact that we are the Host Hotel for the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race can’t wait to see them run by on the way to the finish line!
It all started two days ago in Wyoming and February 4th is the day they finish here in Park City. That’s a long race! And the odd part of it to me is that the dogs love it! Eight days of racing across snow. Amazing.
Beginning as a mission of spreading the word about childhood immunizations, Frank Teasley and Jayne Ottman created the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race in 1996 and contributes to childhood immunizations to towns along the race route. Very cool.
